The Sr. HIL Architect engineer in the IES-Auto Tech Mahindra shall be responsible to lead and perform HIL Tests for various projects in the Engineering Organization. |
Core Responsibilities: |
- Reviews System Requirements, System Architecture, and Product concepts/definitions |
- Analysis and comprehension of external and internal stakeholder requirements |
- Specify Tests based on requirements, standards, and regulations. |
- Perform Tests according to the test Specification and document the results |
- Ensure conformity of the test activities per the processes |
- Provide independent reporting of the test status, technical risks, and problems to lead |
- Definition and development of test strategy and test methods concerning the applicable processes, standards product, and economic feasibility |
- Evaluate the test coverage |

Additional Responsibilities: |
- Establish the linkage from requirements to test cases in DOORs or similar tools for traceability |

Basic Qualifications: |
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Software and/or System level Testing |
- Minimum 3 years of working experience on CAN, Ethernet, or Flexray communication protocols and tools |
- Minimum 4 years of experience in requirement analysis, test case development, test execution, test management, test status reporting |
- Minimum 3 years of experience in writing/executing System/Software test cases |
- Minimum 6 years of defining and designing experience on HIL tester (dSpace) framework and automation |
- Minimum 2 HiL commissioning projects execution experience |
- expert in coding and modeling skills with Matlab/Simulink/Python/C |
- Strong problem-solving techniques and process |
- Knowledge of the usage of tools like oscilloscope, Function generator, CAN tools, etc. |
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on dSpace HiL, dSpace scale io, Vector tools, HiL automation (control desk, configuration desk) |
- Very good knowledge of Systems Engineering, Vehicle safety, Embedded Systems, and Electronics |
- Very good knowledge of test processes, techniques, automation, and tools, good knowledge of testing real-time systems |
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics, Electrical or similar degree. |
- Must be willing to travel internationally |
- Approximately 5% of the time may be spent in other locations |

Preferred Qualifications: |

- 7+ years of experience in automotive engineering |
- Experience with UDS, XCP, and Electronic Control Units |
- Programming languages (C, Python Pearl, C++, Visual Basic, etc) |
- Working knowledge of automotive Lighting Technologies |
- Familiar with ISO 26262 functional safety Test techniques |
- Relentless learner with a dedication to learning new technologies and test methods/techniques |
- Knowledge of Traceability tools (e.g. DOORs) |
- Familiar with configuration management tools like MKS, PVCS, etc. |
- Excellent team management skills, coaching, and mentor |
